Why should you choose to tour the Piceno with us? Well, for starters,
we live here! This is our home and we are passionate about the place.
We know the best eateries, have made contacts with the vineyards,
and can open some doors you might not get through on your own. We
want you to experience the best that this incredible locale has
to offer.
Still not convinced? We're also well qualified!
Valerie Schneider
Valerie is a newcomer to Ascoli Piceno who fell in love with the
city and the surrounding countryside after a two-week visit. Before
moving to Italy in May 2006, she worked for nearly a decade in the
travel industry as an agent, marketing manager and corporate travel
consultant. She is a freelance writer with a regular column on the
Slow Travel website, and writes for travel-related publications.
She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in
History and enjoys sharing her corner of Italy with visitors and
helping them make
the most of their vacation time.
Bryan Schneider
Bryan took a great leap of faith, ditching a white-collar insurance
career to move to Italy in May 2006. He has enjoyed immersing himself
in the cuisine, landscapes, people and pace of Italian life. An
overachiever, Bryan graduated with two bachelor degrees from Ohio
State University including one in Geology. He'll gladly talk rocks
and strata layers with anyone who will listen! He is enthusiastic
about history, architecture and exploring medieval fortresses, and
always knows where to find the best espresso. He is also very skilled
in Italian driving techniques.
